First day of the 12th edition of the festival in Brazil took place last Friday (28) at Aut\u00f3dromo de Interlagos in S\u00e3o Paulo and had Olivia Rodrigo as the headliner, with a crowd of approximately 100,000 people.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The line-up for the 12\u00aa edition of Lollapalooza Brazil was announced in September 2024 and was set to happen on March 28, 29, and 30. Olivia Rodrigo was announced as the headliner for the first day of the festival (28), It was the first time she would perform in Brazil, and the singer also had a stadium show scheduled in Curitiba on Wednesday (26). Other artists that composed the line-up and were headed to S\u00e3o Paulo last Friday included J\u00e3o, Girl in Red, Pluma and Rufus Du Sol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gates opened at 11 a.m., with performances planned to go from 12 p.m. to 9:45 p.m., but due to a storm in the afternoon, shows of the band Jovem Dion\u00edsio<\/em> and the Funk singer MC Kako <\/em>had to be paused for about an hour, which led to a delay of the following artists\u2019 performances as well. Olivia Rodrigo, the headliner, kicked off her set at 10:30 p.m with about 100,000 fans in the crowd. The singer performed songs such as Obsessed and Vampire, both tracks from her sophomore album \u2018Guts: Spilled\u2019 (2024). Olivia\u2019s biggest hit-song \u2018Drivers License\u2019, from her first project \u2018Sour\u2019 (2021), was also part of the set list. The song was led by an emotional performance on the piano, leaving the artist speechless and teary as the Brazilian fans sang the song loudly and with such emotion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her set, the singer shared a lovely moment with her fans, as they started a loud chorus, screaming \u201cOlivia, eu te amo!\u201d <\/em>(Olivia, I love you!\u201d). The artist seemed so surprised by how passionate the crowd was, that she got emotional and naturally told the fans they were being very sweet but that they were gonna make her cry since she was on her period.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olivia\u2019s set at the festival closed the night, leaving a huge impression on the people who were there and the rest of the country, not to mention how impactful it was as it proved to many her big potential of being the new \u2018Rockstar\u2019 and \u2018Young idol\u2019 of this generation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
